Congratulations! A very well done instructable indeed. Would you like to sell the laser cutter to me?

Thanks, Joe!
No way in hell I’ll sell the laser.

Just wanted to say “Congratulations!” I ended up here looking through your instructable. I, too, have run into trouble scanning books. I’ve messed with multiple cameras, lighting, software, tripods, etc. I’ve never had satisfactory results and never been willing to invest the money into a professional rig. Pain in the ass dragging 6-7 textbooks around in a backpack made for one or two. Why not throw them all on an efficient laptop? This experience gives me great appreciation for the work and time you put into the scanning project. And major kudos to you for documenting it all.
Heaping respect your way! Thanks!

Agreed totally, Mike, and thanks for your kind words. Hopefully I’ll see pictures of your scanner soon.
