Oh, Me of Little Faith.

Lots of new developments around here, but most are background operations that you don’t need to see. Three new projects going online shortly; expect them by the end of June. The wait you’ve been waiting (assuming you’ve been by) will be worth it.

I’ll be moving into a new apartment again at the end of this month, so trying to get together/call/whatever around that time is not a good idea. I simply won’t have time or energy to do much else. I’m quite excited about the new place; hopefully it will end up being the last place I live here in Fargo. And though I’ve said that a few times, it’s ultimately clear to me that Fargo is not my future. I can’t spend much longer than another year here. I’ll spam everyone with my new address when I’ve gone and moved in.

Finally, I’ve started working with some guitar sounds from Doz M., and some cello sounds from Nate H. I’m quite excited about these new musical developments; the next set of tracks is going to be quite wonderful. As far as the existing album goes, demos are being sent out. Unfortunately almost none of the people who received advance copies of the album bothered to mail back their favorite tracks, so I had to make the demo without their help. Special thanks to the few that did get back- and curse the sloth of those who didn’t.

Fakeproject Dot Com Is Gone.

After long deliberation, downloadation, and backup-ation, I’ve gone and deleted the contents of fakeproject.com from the server. There’s a lot of organization and re-structuring happening behind the scenes, and leaving the content of old up there for all was inhibiting progress. Over time, I’ll make archives of everything that was ever up available; the problems come from inconsistent coding and poor file management- tons of dead links, broken images, pages leading nowhere. Hardly a professional front.

The new fakeproject.com will be back soon, with news on new tunes, new projects, and stuff to download.

I’ve had the pleasure of perusing the spoils spring cleaning week in Fargo this week- most notably, I acquired a Towa T-1000 copy machine. It’s got a blue toner cart in it, and a sheet feeder. After spending some time fixing a bad solenoid (the ferrite rod had rusted to the shell) I got the machine running. It will come in very handy when producing the limited run of my forthcoming album, You Are Not Dead: A Guide To Modern Living. There will be a limited, hand-produced run to give to people who helped with the album; after that, there will be no giveaways or sales, as I’m going to be shopping the demo around.

Today, when riding bike to work, I spotted a pulse-monitor monitor. You know, with the little green graph that jumps when you hear the beeping of your own heart. It had a little printer attached to the bottom too, with a bit of ticker tape sticking out. I’m not sure if it was there to reproduce the graph, or to pump out receipts…

Note to Self Delusion

The desire to keep things up-to-date and keep associates in-the-know has driven me to this; a “blog” interface, backend software that will manage my web-face for me.

How often to check back? I’ll be updating weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly.

I’ll update when I have something to share.

What’s going to be here? I’ll eschew links to unrelated web trends, viral ads, pictures of pet cats, boring news articles.
Though some soapboxing is inevitable, you won’t find me linking to a two-paragraph AP article and ranting on as though it meant anything.

What you’ll find here will be about me, personally, professionally, artistically, musically - presumably, if you made it here, that’s what you’re interested in. This site is a companion to my main exploit: Fakeproject.com, where the actual art, music, and anything in between will be hosted.

So, if you want me, come here; if you want art, go there.
Thanks.
